Position Description:
Concordia University, Nebraska is seeking part-time adjunct instructors to teach Foundations in Writing (basic composition), Experiences in Writing (introductory composition) and Introduction to Literature courses in our English Department.
Job Duties:
- Provide an excellent learning experience for students.
- Maintain high standards of excellence in teaching and learning.
- Serve as a role model for students in professional interaction.
- Facilitate individual and group learning goals.
- Assess, evaluate, and monitor student progress.
- Provide timely feedback to students.
- Utilize the Blackboard Learning Management System for attendance, grading, and coursework management.
- Be supportive of the mission and values of Concordia University Nebraska and the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS)
Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree or higher in English or a related field preferred
- College-level teaching experience preferred
- Professional experience in subject area preferred
