What You’ll Do
- Guest Engagement: Welcome guests with a smile and set the tone for their Catria Cucina & Bar experience.
- Menu Knowledge: As a Bartender, you will guide guests throughout the menu and dining experience, offering a selection of our curated cocktails, wine and beer to accompany a meal or to enjoy on their own.
- Commitment to Quality Service: Ensure timely, efficient, and above all, a memorable experience. From taking orders to pouring one of our many fine wines, you’ll be providing our guests with an experience they cannot recreate themselves.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with the kitchen and dining room teams to keep service flowing smoothly - it’s all about creating a seamless experience.
- Attention to Detail: Keep your station clean, organized, and stocked - because great service starts with great preparation.
- Complete opening side work checklist for shift daily to ensure the Bar station is ready for service.
- Greet customers immediately with a smile and present beverage menus.
- Make recommendations and answer all menu inquiries.
- Check identification of all customers who appear under 30 to verify they are of legal drinking age prior to serving them.
- Take orders from customers, ensuring 100% accuracy when entering orders into POS.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes.
- Peel, slice and pit fruit for garnishing beverages, following Company and Department of Health standards.
- Follow responsible alcohol service guidelines, as outlined by Employee Handbook.
- Process transactions using the POS system; Prepare checks for guests, and process payments.
- Maintain proper loss prevention standards including cash handling procedures, tip handling, cash deposits; Count the cash register at the start and close of each shift.
- Maintain organization and aesthetic appeal of bar counter and displays.
- Complete closing side work checklist for shift daily, including cleaning the bar and securing all alcoholic products.
- Maintain sanitation to Department of Health standards; Keep work area clean and organized.
- Inform Manager on Duty immediately of any DOH or OSHA/workplace safety violations.
- Monitor inventory; restock bar inventory as needed; inform Management of any product or supply needs.
- Deal with guest complaints by finding a way to say yes; Involve the Manager on Duty as needed.
- Update knowledge and skills continually by participating in staff training opportunities.
- Maintain general knowledge of the restaurant, location, transportation, Management team, etc.
- Complete other duties as assigned by Management.
- Must possess a flexible and varied schedule to accommodate business demands, including weekends and Holidays.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Polished personal appearance and professional dress required.
- Ability to lift 30lbs unassisted.
- Minimum 2 Years Experience in Full Service Restaurant..
- The ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal direction.
- The ability to bend, stoop, stand and perform extensive walking for 8-10 hours a day.
- The ability to perform essential job functions when working under stress, in fast-paced environment.
- The ability to perform essential job functions under pressure, maintain professionalism when working under stress.
- The ability to work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the business.
- Maintains general knowledge of restaurant, location, transportation, management team, etc.
- Attend mandatory staff meetings.
