What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grains Operator position at Conestoga?
The Grains Receiver is responsible for inspecting and sampling deliveries to ensure quality and other specifications are met. The position weights and directs truck deliveries. In addition, the Grain Receiver loads/unloads trucks. Grains receiver is responsible for the loading of wet/dry distillers and experience with frontend loader is preferred. Grain Receiver is also responsible for the proper inspection, safe loading of alcohol rail and trucks.
This position is temporary thru the harvest season.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma / GED
6 months related work experience
Ability to follow direction and standard operating procedures
Work in safe manner
Ability to speak and comprehend basic English
Ability to stand and walk frequently; twist, bend, and reach on a regular basis
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of computers, machine operation, and rail car operations
