JOB TITLE: Van Driver
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will transport passengers over specified routes to local or distant points according to time schedule and regulates
heating, lighting, and ventilating systems for passenger comfort, complies with local traffic regulations. Performs a variety of
minor repairs and services to maintain the motor vehicle fleet. Performs other duties when not driving, such as washing,
running errands, cleaning vehicles, cleaning terminal interior and exterior, loading and unloading passengers. The driver
should assist disabled passengers into and out of the vehicle, secure passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to
stabilize wheelchairs during trip; may operate radio or similar device to communicate with dispatcher or other vehicles to report
disruption of service.
JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drives service vehicle for parts pickup and roadside service as required.
- Assists in cleaning of vehicle fleet and Terminal.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Responsible for key storage for primary and spare keys
- Assists customers' needs and assures that all passengers are safe.
- Verifies operational safety of equipment and devices such as brakes, clutch, lights, mirrors, glass, fire extinguishers, first aid.
- kits, highway warning kits, horn, warning lights and buzzers, emergency exits, wipers, signs, tires, etc.
- Complies with all local, state, and federal laws (FMCSA, DOT, OSHA, FLSA, etc.)
- Daily inspection of fleet (pre/post trip inspections), ensure proper preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance on
- vehicles are being performed and maintain registration records.
- May fill antifreeze, service cooling systems, inspect hoses, caps, valves, etc., as required.
- Safely operates all tools and equipment required to perform the assigned duties.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training beyond high school
- Performs scheduled routes assigned by immediate supervisor.
- Responsible for loading and unloading of passengers, reports passenger total, and records in passenger list. Minimum Formal Education:

LICENSES and CERTIFICATIONS:
Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) endorsement
Valid State Driver's License
