Senior Accounting Manager

Known for our trend-forward brands and commitment to quality, we are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Manager to lead our accounting operations and play a key role in cross-functional business initiatives.

Position Summary

The Senior Accounting Manager will lead the month-end close process and ensure operational excellence within the accounting team. This position will also serve as a key liaison between accounting and other departments, actively supporting and helping implement business projects that impact financial systems, reporting, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Month-End Close & Accounting Leadership

• Own and manage the monthly and quarterly close process, ensuring timely, accurate, and complete financial reporting
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff; assign and track close deliverables and timelines
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal controls
• Identify opportunities to streamline and improve close-related processes and reporting accuracy

Cross-Functional Project Leadership

• Represent accounting in key business initiatives across departments including operations, supply chain, ecommerce, and legal
• Support and lead finance components of cross-functional projects such as:
• Divestiture Accounting – Oversee removal of activity from the books related to sold business units (e.g., KVD), and ensure accurate monthly invoicing to buyers
• E-commerce & Warehouse Transition – Manage reconciliation efforts across systems, including adapting to new manual reconciliation processes
• Tariff Optimization – Participate in financial analysis and implementation of strategies to reduce import costs for international markets
• Entity Expansion – Provide accounting support for legal entity setup in new regions (e.g., Middle East), ensuring proper financial structure and compliance
• Lead or support systems testing, data validation, and reconciliations related to project implementations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred
• 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role
• Background in consumer products, ecommerce, or manufacturing/distribution industries strongly preferred
• Proven experience managing month-end close and leading accounting teams
• Strong project management skills; able to coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Excel and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle)
• Exceptional communication skills with ability to collaborate across functional teams
