Hourly Wage: $23.28/Regular/Full-Time
This position will have responsibility for working with individuals and groups to promote optimum mental and emotional health. May help individuals deal with issues associated with addictions and substance abuse; family, parenting, and marital problems; stress management; self-esteem; suicidal ideations; victims of crime; anger management; Domestic Violence Perpetrator treatment (limited); and aging. This process includes assisting with family systems assessment, diagnosis, developing a formal treatment plan and providing specific treatment to individuals and families at Therapists II & III request. Will serve as a liaison between other professionals, Tribal organizations/agencies, community organizations, schools, law enforcement and State agencies. Is responsible for documenting in patient files of service episodes, collateral contacts, and all other patient events within HIPAA requirements. Will conduct trainings on wellness, public awareness, and other relevant mental health trainings. Will arrange community organization events and collect data for accountability.
Examples of Work Performed:
Follows identified referral process and procedures to assist identifying priority children and families for screening, assessment, and treatment.
Assist with patient service request intake process, initial intake assessments, and ongoing case management and making referrals for community support services. Maintain a minimum of at least 30% of billable work service hours.
Establishes and maintains working relationships with other relevant Tribal programs as well as relevant non-Tribal programs and resources that pertain to YNBHS patients and families.
Participates in supervisory, case, Multi-Disciplinary Team staffing's, trainings, local Advisory/Coalition meetings other Child Protective Team meetings/staffing's.
Provides direct patient services and maintains patient clinical records to meet Self-Attestation documentation standards and agency policies.
Maintains monthly statistics of patient involvement, trainings provided to patients, families and/or community, and collaboration between all collateral contacts.
Provide training to community, schools, Tribal organizations, patients, families on wellness, public awareness, prevention, parenting, life skills, and community organization.
Refer patients to other outside agencies depending on level of care.
Assisting patients with treatment plans and community resources.
Other Duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of basic Social Work principles, practices, and professional standards of providing clinical mental health services to Tribal communities.
Knowledge and Ability of helping clients/patients reflect on issues to assist them make positive changes.
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability of documenting in patient medical files, HIPAA laws, medical terminology and EHR standards.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities of community organization, community outreach and community development.
Knowledge of local community resources and how to access them.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities to work with Yakama children, families, and community on a Comprehensive level.
Ability to work in high stressful environment.
Knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare Health Care Standards.
Must have strong Public Speaking Skills, Training Skills, and Communication Skills.
Ability to deescalate a volatile-hostile client/patient episode therapeutically.
Knowledge of patient Case Management practices.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree preferably in a Social Science field and 1 years of related work experience providing patient/client care.
Must maintain strict confidentiality.
Must obtain affiliate license from Washington State Department of Health
Must pass a pre-employment background check.
Must possess a valid Washington State Driver's License with the ability to obtain a Yakama Nation Driving permit.
Required to pass a pre-employment drug test.
Preferred Requirements:
Enrolled Yakama Preference, but all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply.
Salary : $23
