Shipping Coordinator (1694632)      $17 per hour

Full Time; Temp-to-Hire

The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for managing, organizing and improve the day-to-day operations of the shipping department. They accurately package products for shipment, assembling boxes, placing products inside boxes and filling with proper packing or cushioning materials. Ensure timely delivery of customer orders by adhering to shipping deadlines and quality standards. Works well with different levels of management and plant supervisors as well as employees

Daily Workflow:

» Meet shipping deadlines requested by customers and ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments

» Maintain production efficiency and quality standards while identifying areas for improvement

» Operate and maintain equipment such as the box maker and Speedy Packer system to ensure proper packaging

» Prepare and assemble shipping boxes, stack large orders on pallets, shrink-wrap securely, and post required information on documents

» Oversee shipping activities, including prioritizing work assignments and scheduling freight pick-up

» Maintain inventory of boxes, labels, and supplies, troubleshooting equipment as needed

» Inspect products and shipments to ensure orders are correct and complete

» Communicate effectively with managers and staff across departments to maintain workflow

» Ensure a safe, clean working environment by complying with procedures and regulations

» Contribute to process improvement and team goals by accomplishing related tasks as assigned

We’re Seeking (skills, education, and screenings)

» 2 to 3 years of related experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse work is preferred

» Effectively communicates (written/verbal) with personnel from all departments

» Computer literacy and excellent organization and leadership skills are necessary

» Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

» High School Diploma or GED (Required)

» Must pass a background check

» Must pass drug screening (THC OK)

Schedule:

» Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
