What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Continuous Improvement Manager position at Confidential Careers?
The Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager will be responsible for providing technical and quality support to the organization by utilizing modern practices and techniques with concentration on production support, implementation of continuous improvement tools and initiatives, rework and warranty reduction, management of the Quality and ASME Code program and new product introduction.
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional leadership and support to the production support teams.
- Lead efforts in developing, implementing and sustaining ASME Code quality system and ISO 9001:2015 quality systems and practices.
- Lead/facilitate cross-functional teams in utilizing systematic process improvement techniques and support of lean implementation
- Provide oversight and leadership in the creation of customer quality documentation packages.
- Act as an effective member of cross-functional teams to improve products, processes, and services, and to reduce costs.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement program for internal process and throughout supply chain. Provide feedback and required corrective actions to enhance supplier partnerships and meet/exceed quality requirements.
- Monitor and regularly report on product quality and reliability; provides timely feedback to the appropriate functions for corrective / preventive actions.
- Assist in new/modified product design at the NPI stages to ensure quality and reliability of the product.
- Create a safe working environment and ensure through on-going training that employees actively place safety as their highest priority.
- Monitor competences for team and develop its autonomy through training plan building, follow-up & training actions implementation.
- Establish work practices that minimize the environmental impact of the processes associated with the department, reduce the consumption of resources, and reduce waste streams.
- Take an active role in the implementation and improvement of the EHSMS throughout the organization.
- Support the ongoing EHS efforts of both the Group and the local EHS Representatives.
Required Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering, and minimum of 8-10 years of experience in quality training and practices.
- Experience in implementing and maintaining a quality management system such as ISO 9001 and ASME Code or equivalent
- Experience in utilizing personal computers: Excel, Word, Power Point, SAP a plus.

- Proven ability to successfully lead and complete improvement projects in a team setting.
- Excellent communication, analytical, interpersonal, and customer service skills. · Proficient with measuring equipment, blueprint reading, and process improvement techniques.
- Knowledge of and experience with ISO 9001 standard and ASME Code requirements.
Salary : $115,000 - $130,000
