Located just 35-45 minutes away from Bluffton/Beaufort/Savannah, Congaree Golf Club is searching for a Full-Time, Seasonal Bartender.
At Congaree we not only pride ourselves on having one of the most highly renowned golf courses in the country but also providing the highest level of hospitality. Our first class menus are comprised of the finest ingredients from local and international sources. They are skillfully crafted by our culinary team into dishes that bring joy and excitement to our guests as our menu is ever changing with only the freshest seasonal ingredients. The wine program at Congaree services all major growing regions around the world with special attention to small producers and highly allocated labels. We are often the destination for special occasions and strive to provide the most eloquent experience to our Ambassadors and their guests.
Our team includes individuals from some of the finest clubs and restaurants in the country as well as local hospitality students. We are also seeking individuals looking to use Congaree as an experience to kick start their career in not only private clubs but also high-end destination resorts.
Responsibilities
- Arrive on time in proper clean and neat attire ready for your shift
- Prepare bar with impeccable attention to detail
- Present bar selections and help guests select food/beverages
- Become proficient in menu items, composition of dishes, preparation techniques, basic culinary terminology, and allergy substitution options
- Take and serve orders
- Answer questions or make recommendations for complementary products
- Ability to become proficient with menu items, beverage programming and steps of service
- Communicate effectively with other staff members
Skills
- Professional mixology experience
- Preparation of classic cocktails, trendy mixology, seasonal creations
- Basic wine knowledge and quest for learning
- Well versed in craft, domestic and imported beer selections
- Extensive knowledge of spirit production
- Patience and customer-oriented approach
- Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage
- Dependable, Responsible and trustworthy
- Neat and professional appearance
- Exceptional Organizational skills
- Must be able to stand for periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and traverse stairs
- Must pass a Background Check
