What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coach, Girl's Ice Hockey position at Connecticut Polar Bears W. H. C., Inc.?
Requirements:
- Qualified candidates must have knowledge of the game of hockey.
- Candidates must be high-energy, positive, team players.
- Must have USA Level 1 Coaching or able to attain it before the start of on ice sessions.
- Must pass a background check and have valid identification.
- Must have weeknight and weekend availability.
Coaching Guidelines & Expectations
- Your responsibility is to instruct, demonstrate, interact, and develop our players as well as encourage strong character, leadership, and work ethic in our athletes.
- We expect you to challenge our players to become better hockey players both physically and mentally.
- Exercise role-model behavior to our athletes.
- Report to practices as scheduled & on time.
- Arrive 15 minutes ahead of practices.
- Assist with aspects of the practice that include but are not limited to:
- Bringing drill equipment from the closet to the ice sheet.
- Arranging sticks, cones, tools, pucks, etc for the layout of the drill.
- Return drill equipment from ice to the closet.
- You are responsible to review practice materials ahead of the session.
- Report to games as scheduled and on time.
- Plan, implement and control pre-game preparation and communication with the team.
- Provide constructive feedback during the game to individual players and team.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Weekends as needed
