What are the responsibilities and job description for the Development Coordinator- Operations position at Connections For The Homeless?
Specific Duties:
Event Support (40%)
- Assist Associate Director of Development – Special Events with a suite of events, including but not limited to, donor cultivation events, fundraising events, community events, and our two signature agency events – Block Party and Inspire
- Manage relationships with vendors including getting quotes for services, processing check requests, and organizing electronic vendor files
- Assist with event marketing by maintaining communications schedule and ensuring website and social media pages have the current event information
- Provide administrative support to organize guest lists, event collateral, and expense tracking
- Support day of logistics by packing supplies and organizing staff roles
Gift Processing and Database Management (30%)
- Enter gift data and produce timely and personalized acknowledgement letters
- Update individual and institutional records per donor or team request
- Serve as liaison to third-party giving platforms and maintain integrations across donor, volunteer, event, and communication platforms
- Generate online giving pages for annual appeals, memorials, and special events
- Assist with monthly reconciliation to ensure proper gift allocation
- Execute regular data integrity checks, ensuring consistency and reliability of data
- Maintain integrations across platforms to create complete donor profiles
Volunteer & In-Kind Donations Program Support (20%)
Travel requirements may exceed 20% based on program needs.
- Coordinate donation pick up and drop offs with donors via phone and email
- Visit local businesses and community partners to pick up donations
- Support group volunteer activities, as needed
Other (10%)
- Support overall creation and implementation of annual development plan
- Attend and support all agency events, especially development department events
- Represent the agency at community, school, and faith events on occasion, as requested
- Perform other duties and complete special projects as assigned
- Adhere to the Code of Conduct for Connections for the Homeless and demonstrate agency core values in all interactions with program participants and staff.
The starting salary for this position is $45,000 annually, with final compensation dependent on experience and qualifications.
