Description

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for developing, analyzing, reviewing, and monitoring short-term and long-term plans, along with weekly, monthly and annual operating reports for the Credit Union. Employs a strong level of analytical and database skills to monitor and report on trends, identify areas for savings and return on investment. Provides analysis and reporting that informs and advises decision-making by Credit Union leadership. The Financial Analyst will be tasked with designing and maintaining a dashboard for the organization to optimize the flow of data and will be responsible for assisting the CEO with Board packages, PowerPoint presentations and meeting minutes.  Will act as liaison with other Departments in obtaining and understanding performance drivers and success metrics.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Includes the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Financial modeling and forecasting - Provides analysis to determine present and future financial performance. Organizes information from a variety of sources to establish data banks and reports for use in analyzing and creating future plans and forecasts. Collaborates with all levels of people, both internally and externally, to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans, trended future requirements, operating forecasts and/or similar complex financial matters. Researches and evaluates information to resolve issues and/or facilitate decision-making.
• Financial Analysis and Reporting - Analyzes and synthesizes information and designs and creates accurate and timely reports. Designs financial reporting to meet the compliance needs of internal and external users. Extracts and consolidates data from multiple sources.
• Customer Service - Provides a high level of service that cultivates and maintains strong working relationships and effectively communicates information; takes ownership and accountability for timeliness, accuracy and relationship management. Assists the President/CEO with Board of Director meetings and projects including developing BOD packages and presentations, recording monthly BOD minutes, and handling BOD requests.  Facilitate off-sites, as required. 
• Compliance and risk management - Establishes, implements and/or maintains strong internal controls in areas of assigned responsibility to provide reasonable assurance of effective and appropriate resources use, accurate financial information, and adherence to regulations, contractual obligations and agreements, policies, procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business required.
• One to two years business experience
• Solid knowledge of financial and economic concepts, modeling and analysis
• Strong computer proficiencies, including the use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Knowledge of net present value methodology and financial projection simulation modeling as well as working knowledge of fixed income products, desired.
• Strong business writing skills, including the ability to translate financial models and worksheets into succinct executive narratives.
• High standard of confidentiality and level of accuracy.
