Description
The Universal Banker is responsible for helping establish and attain sales and service goals and to promote membership growth through the expansion of member relationships under the supervision of the Branch Manager. A Universal Banker must provide outstanding service to all members and identify and find solutions for their financial needs to better their financial lives. The position requires professionally connecting with members in a way that will drive business to the branch.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Uncover and identify current and prospective members’ financial needs in order to explain and recommend credit union products and services.
- Manage members – bank accounts, including opening and closing accounts, oversee transactions. Documentation – obtain signatures, gather identifying information and assign account numbers, when necessary.
- Refer members to in-house financial experts and/or relevant bank departments.
- Resolve member queries and complaints.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Excellent customer service and communications skills.
- 1-2 years’ retail banking experience or equivalent retail sales experience required.
- Minimum of one-year previous Teller/CSR experience preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including Saturdays.
- 100% travel required to branch locations requiring additional support; mileage reimbursement provided.
- High level of accountability, efficiency, and accuracy.
Salary : $16 - $24
