What are the responsibilities and job description for the AWS Cloud Engineer position at ConRes?
As an AWS Cloud engineer, you’ll work with our clients and alongside our architecture and engineering teams, to architect, secure, and deploy Cloud systems to fit our client’s business needs. You will help recommend AWS services, tools and capabilities based on your research of the current environment and knowledge of various on-premise, Cloud-based, and hybrid resources. You’ll work directly with clients and fellow engineers in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment. This is an opportunity to stay on top of the latest Cloud resources as you prototype using multiple techniques and new technologies. Your Responsibilities will include:
- Troubleshoot systems and solve problems across all platform and application domains
- Understand our client’s current infrastructure and suggest changes for scalability, cost savings, reliability, etc.
- Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance.
- Perform migrations of on-premise applications to AWS
- Set up a monitoring and alerting of AWS services
- Define service capacity planning strategies.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using the AWS CI/CD stack.
- Write infrastructure as code using CloudFormation or similar.
