Seasonal Program Instructor
We are looking for a passionate and motivated Program Instructor to join our Education and Programs team that services at the Cuyahoga Valley Environmental Education Center (CVEEC)! Under the direction of the Education Director, this seasonal program instructor will support the development and implementation of day and over-night programming for youth K-12th grade. Join our team and help to educate and inspire future park stewards!
Position Description, Essential Duties (other duties as assigned):
Essential duties include:
- Teach virtual and in-person programs to school groups, K-12, following all safety policies.
- Support the Programs and Education team in outreach, booking, follow-ups, and maintaining records.
- Assist the Programs and Education team in the development of curriculum and support materials for programs for all ages.
- Lead in-person youth and intergenerational programs both in the park and surrounding communities.
- Serve as support staff for other public programs, both in person and virtual.
- Attend staff meetings as scheduled.
- Other duties as assigned, including meal support as needed.
- Employees are required to make every reasonable effort to keep students, visitors, and guests safe while on the Cuyahoga Valley Environmental Education Center Campus. In furtherance of this expectation, all CVEEC employees are required to participate in annual and on-going training as deemed necessary by the Conservancy. The training may include, but is not limited to; Active Shooter, First Aid/CPR/AED, Emergency Response, Bridges Out of Poverty, Disability Awareness, and other safety-related training that may or may not include extremely sensitive or otherwise triggering content.
Status/ Pay/ Benefits:
- Full-Time seasonal position, non-exempt, $17.00 hourly. This seasonal position begins on January 27th and the term for this position ends on December 12th, 2025.
- Benefits package including medical, dental and vision coverage; eligibility to contribute into a 403(b) retirement plan. This position will receive paid holidays off, per the Conservancy Employee Handbook. Some paid time off is offered for seasonal positions that reach or exceed six months.
