Management Trainee

CED's Management Training Program is a paid 2-2.5 year multi-phase training program for those with a desire to lead people and influence the direction of a business. We prepare candidates to take over management and sales strategy of one of our businesses--a Profit Center location.

Hiring location: Enfield, CT for 1st year of training, nationwide relocation required for Manager placement.

Throughout the Management Training Program, trainees are exposed to all aspects of the electrical distribution field. This challenging program requires a strong commitment from each Management Trainee and encompasses, but is not limited to:

• Business Management
• Sales/Business Development
• Operations
• Electrical & Elevator Supply Knowledge
• Warehouse Operations
• Supplier Product Seminars
• Counter Sales
• Inventory Control
• Purchasing
• Leadership
• Corporate Administrative Exposure
• Customer Relations

Each Management Trainee’s development is a combination of mentoring via on-the-job, classroom, and home-study training. This is supplemented with business trips to our corporate headquarters and key vendor partners.

We are looking for people who enjoy a fast paced and sales-oriented environment and have a desire to grow one of our business locations. Individuals should be self-motivated, sales oriented, strong leaders, geographically flexible, and possess an entrepreneurial spirit. Candidates must be willing to leave Connecticut after the first year of training with employer provided relocation assistance.
