Job Title: Procurement Administrative Assistant
Wage Range: Hourly

Reports to: Procurement Manager
Job Summary:
Assists in procuring materials within approved company policies by exploding MRP system to generate purchase orders according to forecast/build schedule. This position ensures that all materials, supplies, and other goods are obtained at the lowest possible cost and shortest possible lead time through communications and agreements with suppliers, in the right quantities, at the best freight rates, at the right time and are of the best quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. (Other duties may be assigned):
- Performs necessary system inputs and data entry.
- Ensure that all paperwork requirements for purchasing function, including GRN’s, are completed and forwarded to the accounting department within the established time frames.
- Performs various purchasing functions for materials and supplies.
- Accounts for all returned merchandise in inventory and follows returns process.
- Assists Production Administrative Assistants if needed.
- Answers and transfer phone calls to all departments.
- Screen internet-based sales leads and in bound calls for new customers and distributing according to company practice and inputting into CRM database.
- Copies, files, retrieves materials, and maintains filing systems as assigned.
- Supports and conforms to Quality Management System requirements as defined by CEG and ISO 9001:2015.

Education and/or Experience:
- Experienced user of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and ERP/Syspro computer programs.
- Bachelors/Associate degree in industrial engineering, accounting, business administration or related experience.
- Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing.
- Primary knowledge of and/or experience in manufacturing and purchasing process including inventory control.
- Strong communications and interpersonal capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and identify and solve problems.
- Smart and exceptional organizational skills, detail oriented, and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Basic understanding of office equipment.
- Integrity that is above reproach.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Salary : $38,500 - $48,700
