This class specification lists the major duties and requirements of the job and is not all-inclusive. Incumbent(s) may be expected to perform job-related duties other than those contained in this document and may be required to have specific job-related knowledge and skills.
- Availability to work on call days, evenings, nights and weekends is required.
- Program facility LED message center; Intake message requests, format messages including correct spelling, punctuation and grammar, schedule messages appropriately.
- Maintain facility social media, website and electronic calendar; Ensure spelling punctuation and grammar is correct for all facility electronic media communications.
- Assist with and/or set up and supervise theater events including load in, performance, strike and load out.
- Safe professional operation of lighting consoles and/or sound consoles and/or single purchase line sets or other assigned technical equipment.
- Hang, patch and focus theatrical lighting to lighting plots or as directed.
- Set up audio system equipment and patch channels according to stage plots and/or technical riders.
- Troubleshoot theatrical lighting, sound and staging systems.
- Preform custodial duties such as cleaning dressing rooms, restrooms, auditorium floor, seats, stage floor and emptying trash receptacles.
- Ability to provide quality customer service and assistance to facility clients and the general public using the facility.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduation from high school or equivalent.
- 2 years professional experience and/or technical school and/or college level experience with electronic marketing such as social media, websites and LED message centers preferred.
- 2 years professional and/or technical school and/or college level experience with professional audio, theatrical lighting, rigging and staging systems or equivalent preferred.
- Custodial and/or public event/facility supervision experience preferred.
- Must be able to routinely lift 50 lbs., and possess sufficient physical mobility to perform required duties.
SPECIAL NOTE: This position, along with other child care providers, are one of many groups of professionals required to report known or reasonable suspicion of abuse and/or neglect of children in their care and are considered mandated reporters as outlined in Nevada Revised Statutes.
- Ability to read and communicate with basic English skills.
- 1910 OSHA 10 Certification - within 15 days of hire
- Crowd Manager Certification - within 15 days of hire
- CPR/First Aid Certification - within 6 months of hire
- Mandated Reporting: Recognizing Child Abuse and Neglect- within 90 days of hire
- Continued employment is contingent upon all required licenses and certificates being maintained in active status without suspension or revocation.
- Any City employee may be required to stay at or return to work during emergencies to perform duties specific to this classification or to perform other duties as requested in an assigned response position. This may require working a non-traditional work schedule or working outside normal assigned duties during the incident and/or emergency.
- Employees may be required to complete Incident Command System training as a condition of continuing employment.
- New employees are required to submit to a fingerprint based background investigation which cost the new employee $48.25 and a drug/alcohol screen which costs $36.50. Employment is contingent upon passing the background and the drug/alcohol screen.
- This position is required to make a report in accordance with Nevada Revised Statute 432B.220, if, in his or her professional or occupational capacity, he or she knows or has reasonable cause to believe that a child has been abused or neglected.
