Constellation Search Group is seeking an Azure Cloud DevOps Engineer for a full-time direct hire position. The Azure Cloud DevOps Engineer will be responsible for operating, managing, and maintaining highly available enterprise information services and software applications within the infrastructure and cloud services ecosystem. This role involves collaborating with infrastructure teams to ensure operational efficiency and deploying cloud initiatives in accordance with best practices. The successful candidate will have a strong technical understanding of cloud-based technologies and contribute to the ongoing development and integration of new solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and participate in the implementation of on-premise, hybrid, private cloud, and 'as a service' technologies and initiatives.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and cloud engineers to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot technology solutions, including custom-built applications and third-party solutions.
- Maintain knowledge of state-of-the-art technology, ensuring operational efficiency within the organization's services.
- Manage on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines.
- Assist fellow engineers in educating teams on new cloud-based initiatives, providing training as required.
- Deploy and debug cloud initiatives throughout the development lifecycle.
- Administer public and hybrid cloud-based reference applications leveraging event-driven, scalable, and fault-tolerant cloud architecture patterns.
- Operate, manage, and configure various cloud-based technology services, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and XaaS.
- Operate, manage, and maintain cloud tenants on the Azure platform.
Qualifications:
- Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or comparable education and/or experience.
- Requires six years of experience in an information services/systems environment, including two to three years in cloud computing system administration.
- Certification in Azure or Red Hat (or other Linux) is a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, OpenStack, Linux/UNIX, and/or container technology.
- Desirable experience with container technologies such as AKS, ACA, ACI, Docker, and container registries.
- Experience including services management, OS enterprise administration, performance management, operations, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of IT Infrastructure (Linux), including Security, Virtualization, Storage, and Cloud technologies.
- Strong understanding of distributed and cloud computing technologies and enterprise standards.
- Proficiency in deployment technologies like IaC tools such as Bicep, Terraform, Azure DevOps.
- Experience in hybrid on-premises to cloud, private, and multi-cloud implementations.
- Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks independently.
- Excellent project organization, communication, and analytical skills.
