What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inside Sales / Counter Sales position at construction equipment & supply?
Construction Equipment & Supply is a full-service equipment rental and supply company. We rent equipment such as backhoes, bulldozer, excavators, skid steers, boom lifts, telehandlers, scissor lifts, light towers, trenchers, generators, air compressors and more. We also sell power tools and accessories, hand tools, pipe, wire mesh, paint, ladders, shovels, bolts, screws and much more.
We are looking for another member of our inside sales team.
The ideal candidate will be able to discuss products, services and rental needs with the customers/contractors which includes generating quotes, provide technical data and other information needed for the projects being discussed. You will also generate contracts and invoices for rental equipment and sales, along with whatever is needed to service the customer. Construction knowledge is a major plus. If you have knowledge of some or many of the items listed above, you may be an ideal candidate.
Responsibilities
- Support store hours of 7:00-5:00 M-F with rotating Saturdays 7:30-12:00. (7:30-5:00 in winter)
- Discuss products, services, and rental needs with the customers/contractors.
- Generate quotes, contracts, and invoices for rental equipment, sales, and services.
- Provide technical data and other information needed for customer projects.
- Communicate with customers and vendors over the phone and email.
- Create sales orders, place purchase orders, and assist with purchasing inventory.
- As needed, assist staff with receiving shipments, stocking, and filling orders.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of construction products, equipment, and services; required.
- Construction knowledge; preferred.
- Proficient with Gmail and Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
