What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Sales Representatives position at Container Graphics Corp.?
The Technical Sales Representative (TSR) is responsible for meeting pre-set sales objectives by prospecting, setting up sales appointments, making sales presentations, closing deals, servicing accounts, and conducting seminars on CGC’s complete product line. The TSR is to sell CGC’s complete product line based upon value, quality, delivery, services, and expertise. Within a given territory, the TSR’s are expected to develop new business and service existing accounts through sound technical knowledge, customer needs, competitive business, accurate quoting, and professional selling skills. The TSR’s work under an incentive plan which if selling costs are controlled, selling prices are well maintained and the individual sales volume and objectives are achieved, will yield additional compensation. The TSR is expected to drive Containers Graphics CS1 mindset and always represent the company in a positive, energetic, and consistent manner. The Technical Sales Representative reports directly to the Sales Manager or General Manager.
• Develop and maintain a professional business relationship with customers and prospective customers to assist
them with meeting their tooling needs
• Meet with customers to determine which CGC products are best for them, accurately quote their order and
sell them on value, quality, delivery, and service
• Communicate with CGC customers service to determine the most expedient delivery date and write an
accurate and complete order for entry to production
• Conduct seminars and training sessions for customers on the most efficient application of flexographic printing
plates, flat dies, rotary cutting dies and other CGC products
• Communicate customer and prospect product pain points to appropriate department
• Track all sales activities and keep current by updating account information regularly
• Travel when necessary to CGC plants, customers, and prospective customers locations
• Coordinate with other team members and departments to optimize the sales effort
• Meet or exceed assigned performance and sales goals
• Maintain complete and accurate customer records
• Ensure the customers success is our number one priority
• Follow all CGC corporate safety program requirements
• Perform all other duties as assigned
