Continental Management, recipient in several awards including Management Company of the Year and Excellence in Education by DMAA & PMA-Mid Michigan Apartment Association, is seeking a Property Manager to join our team, in managing a 110 unit portfolio located in Southwest Detroit. Candidate must have minimal two years’ experience as a property manager. Responsibilities includes financial and operation oversight of property as well as resident retention and customer satisfaction. Key elements of position:
- Candidate must have effective leadership skills in managing staff. Be able to lead by example, provide employee assessment, support, and team building.
- Leasing: Ensure highest occupancy through effective sales strategies, follow-through, and application processing.
- Resident retention; handle and address resident concerns, oversight of resident calendar, and provide highest customer satisfaction.
- Operation oversight: Partnering with Maintenance Supervisor to provide a quality product through preventive maintenance, timely and efficient repairs, and a highly organized make-ready process
- Financial oversight: Oversight of accounts payable through company purchasing protocols, and processing invoices. Assist in prepare and follow an operating budget and to plan community capital improvements, repairs, contract developments, and negotiations.
- Administration: Rent collections through managing resident accounts and charges, and follow legal action as warranted for nonpayment of rental accounts. Processing payroll, submission of weekly and monthly reports as required.
Skill Requirements
- Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office products.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with property management software.
- Possess strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
