Role Overview
As a Service Technician at Falls Village, you will help maintain the physical integrity of a multi-million-dollar community with 320 apartment-homes. The Service Team consists of a Service Manager, 2 technicians and 1 porter.
Most Important Responsibilities
- Work closely with your team members to complete service requests and make-readies in a timely fashion with high quality craftsmanship.
- Share your knowledge with coworkers and assist each other when challenges arise.
- Go above and beyond the call of duty for residents to provide excellent customer service.
- Manage your time wisely and communicate throughout the day.
- Anticipate problems that residents might have before they even occur.
Most Important Qualifications
- 2 years of recent hands-on experience in building apartment maintenance.
- Working knowledge of HVAC (gas-fired forced air systems, 410A and R22 systems), plumbing (exterior water main breaks, commercial hot water tanks), appliance repairs (some newer washers/dryers with electronic boards), carpentry and electrical.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical problems.
- Resourceful problem solver.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Participate on-call rotation at this community and a sister community near-by.
