Responsibilities:

A system administrator plays a pivotal role in maintaining the health, efficiency, and security of computer systems within CSG.

• Technology Strategy: Work closely with software development, laboratory, production, and donor services departments to plan, implement, secure, and enhance a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with our current and future business needs.
• Technical Support: Provide ongoing technical support for all computer resources within the company, resolving issues promptly and ensuring smooth operations. You'll be the go-to person for end-user support, covering desktops, laptops, servers, and operating systems like Windows, MacOS, and limited Android.
• Security Enhancement: Evaluate, support, and enhance our hardware, software, and technical resources to bolster the security of our information and technology infrastructure. Your expertise will play a critical role in safeguarding our resources against cyber threats and ensuring physical security.
• Resource Management: Collaborate with department managers to determine technology needs, upgrades, maintenance, and resource viability. You'll provide direction, guidance, and support for information and communication resources, optimizing their usage and value.
• Technology Roadmap: Contribute to the development and execution of our technology roadmap, ensuring that our systems and infrastructure remain cutting-edge and future-proof.

Qualifications:

• Dynamic Problem-Solver: Demonstrate your expert critical thinking and diagnostic skills in planning upgrades and implementations across diverse contexts.
• Time and Project Management: Excel in managing multiple projects simultaneously, effectively prioritizing tasks, and delivering results within deadlines.
• Leadership Experience: If you have experience supervising employees, that's a big plus! Your leadership skills will help drive our technical support team to excellence.
• Technical Proficiency: A bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, or a related technical field is preferred.
  Familiarity with telecommunication technologies like Avaya for VOIP, is preferred.
  
• Competency with the following technologies:
  - Linux (preferable CentOS) administration
  - Windows Server administration
  - Docker
  - MySQL, MariaDB and SQL Server
  - Azure (Prefered experience migrating from premises to the cloud)
  - Bitbucket, GitHub
  - Devops (Experience creating CI/CD environments, not required but a plus)
  - VMWare (vSphere)
  - .NET, PHP (Not required but a plus)
  - Security monitoring and vulnerability scans
  - Backups management
  - Logs monitoring
• Excellent Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential, as you'll be collaborating with various stakeholders. Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
