About the Role
As a Maintenance Assistant, you'll be an essential part of our team, ensuring our community is always in the best condition for our residents. You'll respond to maintenance requests, perform routine inspections, and keep our building and grounds clean and neat. Plus, you'll have the opportunity to connect with our residents during welcome orientations and daily interactions.
What you'll be doing...
- Ensuring all aspects of the building are in good repair
- Responding to maintenance requests daily
- Maintaining a Unit Maintenance Log for each apartment
- Monitoring and maintaining a Building Inspection Schedule
- Being on call 24/7 for emergency maintenance needs
- Handling snow removal and landscaping not performed by outside contractors
- Performing mandatory annual unit inspections
- Ordering maintenance supplies and monitoring inventory
- Maintaining dumpster area and monitoring trash pickup
What We're Looking For...
- Excellent communication skills
- Compassion for older adults
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, heating/cooling, and general repair skills
- Self-motivated, task-oriented, team player with computer knowledge
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to stand, talk, bend, stretch, pull or push and lift items
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
