Description : RESPONSIBILITIES
RESPONSIBILITIES
The CDL Driver responsibilities include safely and efficiently loading and unloading materials and equipment, and adhere to all company policies, DOT and MSHA regulations
Requirements :
- Must have Class A CDL
- At least 3 years of experience handling heavy haul up to 80Tons gross weight
- Added job tasks :
o Ability to self-permit or willingness to learn
o Comply with Federal / State DOT regulations and records
o Load securement training
- Load and unload heavy equipment
- Perform daily safety and maintenance checks in accordance with DOT and Company standards
- Clean and maintain truck’s equipment and supplies
- Practice workplace safety
Skills :
The incumbent must demonstrate the following skills :
- Ability to operate and inspect tractors and trailers in accordance with DOT regulations
- Ability to drive in a safe and responsible manner
- Have knowledge of or adept at learning the basic operation of a wide variety of equipment in order to load and transport them safely
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Decision making skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to read and write to record and maintain daily records
- Time management skills

WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Demands :
The driver will have to work in all weather, and must be prepared for both extreme heat and cold. The driver must ensure that all activities are completed in a safe and efficient way.
Candidate must be able to lift up to 50lbs. unassisted.
Environmental Conditions :
The driver must work outside in varying weather conditions to include extreme cold and / or extreme heat and dusty environments.
