CAC's technical experts boast over 20 years of experience in supplying engineering solutions, coupled with IT expertise, that reduce errors, improve product quality and increase productivity and profitability. Job DescriptionDay Shift - 7am to 7pm. Schedule is 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off. Scope of Position: Production planning and scheduling functions for a given product line(s). Day to Day Responsibilities: Schedule orders utilizing SAP/APO for a given product line. Release and schedule production orders using various optimization tools and processes. Measure and compare actual production results against the production plan. Facilitate adjustments to ATP as required to reflect actual plant performance and realized production rates. Identify adjustments needed in resource allocations based on such changes. Update the ATP tools with the latest bookings, ensuring that constrained capacities are not overbooked. Seamlessly communicate with plant, product line management and customer care to update order status and expedite orders as needed. Optimize finished goods, fiber and key raw material allocation. Move fallout and short length inventory. Key Performance Metrics: Customer service (Ship to Request, Ship to Promise); overall customer satisfaction measure(s) Order Cycle Time for assigned product line(s) Schedule Compliance On-time schedule release Order dating cycle time Fallout utilization (STOMP/SLIDE) Travel Requirements: 0-5% Required Skills: APO and ERP system (SAP) knowledge and experience Strong analytical abilities, with attention to detail. Collaboration and team spirit Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written Strong organization skills Process oriented Skilled in Microsoft Office Desired Skills: Experience across multiple plants or multiple functions Understanding of all Cable Products, Materials and Manufacturing processes. Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks Experience with cross functional collaboration Adaptable and flexible Able to work independently in a dynamic business and manufacturing environmentQualificationsRequired Education: High school diploma or equivalent Associate or Bachelor degree preferred APICS, ISM or SCORE certification a plus Required Years and Area of Experience: 1-3 years of experience in plant scheduling, supply chain functions or customer care functions. Experience working in a matrix environment or on a cross functional team. This is a contract position.Location: Hickory, NCDuration of contract: 6 monthsEducation/Experience: HS Diploma and 1-3 years experiencePay Rate: $20-30 per/hrOvertime: Time and a halfAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
