What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Accounting Support Tech - Patient Accounting position at Conway Medical Center?
The Patient Accounting Support Tech (PAST) Under the supervision of the Director, will assist Patient Account Representatives (PAR’s), Payment Posters and Coders with various duties within the Patient Accounting Department. The PAST will assist with printing paper all claims, printing notes, printing Attorney Statements and any other printing functions assigned. The PAST will assist with manual data entry as assigned to achieve correct claim processing. The PAST will assist with mail routing functions as needed including returned mail to ensure payments and patient correspondence are routing correctly. The PAST will assist with scanning as needed to support the scanning needs of the Patient Accounting Department. The PAST will perform other duties as needed to support the Patient Accounting Department.
Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma required.
Experience:
- Medical Records and or hospital/physician Revenue Cycle experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- None
Special Skills:
- Exemplary core customer service skills strongly required.
- Demonstrated ability to efficiently organize work and maintain a high level of accuracy and productivity.
- Familiarity with scanning functionality preferred.
- Knowledge of health insurance and other health related correspondence preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
