What are the responsibilities and job description for the Felony Prosecutor position at Cooke County Texas?

The Felony Prosecutor performs supervisory and professional legal work prosecuting criminal suspects on behalf of the State of Texas. Work involves preparing felony offenses to plead or go to trial and participating in legal research necessary for the preparation of felony criminal trials, prosecuting jury and non-jury trials and/or negotiating settlements, and preparing various briefs, motions, and other legal devices, as necessary.

Doctoral degree required for this position. Must possess a license to practice law in the State of Texas. Must be able to pass a State Criminal History background check.
