Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Front of House Shift Leader to oversee daily operations in our fast-paced restaurant environment. This role is essential for ensuring exceptional customer service, effective team management, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for the food industry, with experience in both casual and fine dining settings.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service and customer satisfaction.
- Train, develop, and mentor team members in food preparation, customer service, and operational procedures.
- Manage shift operations including cash handling, inventory control, and POS system management (Aloha POS or Micros POS).
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the restaurant.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to enhance guest experiences.
- Collaborate with kitchen management to ensure timely food production and quality control
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in a quick service or fast food restaurant environment; fine dining experience is a plus.
- Strong background in food service management, including knowledge of food handling and safety practices.
- Experience with cash handling procedures and familiarity with POS systems (Aloha POS or Micros POS).
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in team management, training & development, and shift management.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff alike.
- Knowledge of kitchen management practices including inventory control, food production, catering, and banquet experience.
- Culinary experience is preferred; barista or coffee experience is an added advantage.
