Job Overview: The Account Manager position is a customer interfacing member of the Cooper sales team, which will require effective collaboration to achieve yearly objectives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Account Manager will be responsible for the following: Within a geographic area responsible for selling Reciprocating product(s), services, and parts Interact with customers (current & new) to understand their business needs and goals Communicate new Cooper innovations & technology solutions to address customer operational issues Define sales strategy for targeted clients Cooperates with (technical) sales support to realize sales Travel ~60% of the time through South Texas as required Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college preferred Minimum High School diploma or GED from an accredited school or institution with at least 3 years of experience in Sales Have knowledge of oilfield, production facilities, and compression operationsAbility to develop strong interpersonal relationships with customersReciprocating compressor and engine experience preferredResults driven Leadership philosophy that utilizes an empowerment style to achieve innovative, continuous, and measurable resultsDemonstrates strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsExcellent verbal and written communications skillsProficient with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)Commitment to safety, customer service quality and to work in team-oriented environmentPrior experience that demonstrates a strong work ethic and ability to multi-taskCommitment to customer service and ability to work in team-oriented environmentCompetencies: Communication Customer-oriented Business focused A self-starter Dependable Strong teamwork skills Results oriented Sense of urgency Cooper Machinery Services is an equal opportunity employer and gives all qualified applicants consideration of employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, any other characteristic protected by law.
