Hello. My name is Don Viterelli. I am one of the hospital based radiology managers. I oversee the cat scan M. R. I. And ultrasound departments here in radiology. Um One of the most unique parts of my day coming to cooper is that I never know what I'm going to walk into. Um Which makes it very exciting because I love problem solving. Short Description
- Performs CAT Scan procedures following protocols established by the Radiologist
- Operates the CT scanner during IR procedures in the CT department.
- Maintains work area: Reports maintenance issues for equipment, monitors supplies and deficiencies.
- Adheres to all Infection Prevention prolicies, utilizing the appropriate PPE needed.
- Maintains licensure and BLS.
- Stays current and participates departmental training offered.
- Demonstrates courteous behavior, positive attitude, etc. through polite communication with all co- workers/customers.
- Understands and appreciates the need to provide good customer service, both internal and external.
- Participates in clinical activities (i.e. assists with patient flow/care, helps to optimize throughput of patients via Radiology Transport).
- Remains compliant of timekeeping rules: Avoids early, late and unauthorized entries. Adheres to Departmental procedures, fulfills compliance with life safety, fire and hazardous waste, Radiation Safety, and Infection Prevention requirements.
- Attends staff meetings and reviews daily huddles to keep current on department communications.
- Participates in Departmental On Call and Holiday Requirements.
Experience Required
General, Trauma and ED;
Experience with Pediatrics and Cardiac preferred but not necessary
Education Requirements
Graduate of AMA Approved Radiologic Technologist Program.
Must be enrolled in a qualified Computed Tomography program
License/Certification Requirements
Current BLS Certification (Basic Life Support).
Current ARRT License (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
Current NJ-RADTECH License (Radiologic Technologist).
ARRT Board Certified in Computed Tomography preferred. If not at the time of hire, within 12 months of employment.

Scheduled Days / Hours: Sat and Sun 730a-4p; License (or Certification):ARRT Required; License (or Certification):BLS Required; License (or Certification):NJ-RADTECH Required
