Housekeeper

Housekeeper (Full-time 37.5 weekly hours)

Provides cleaning services to provide a safe, sanitary, comfortable, and homelike environment for Residents, Staff, and to the public.

Housekeeping services provided are maintained by facility policies and procedures and consistent with state and federal laws and regulations to maintain an environment that enhances the quality of life for Residents.

Essential Function :

• Carries out all duties in accordance with the facility's mission and philosophy.
• Demonstrates knowledge of and respect for the rights, dignity, and individuality of each Resident in all interactions.
• Appreciates the importance of maintaining confidentiality of Resident and facility information.
• Demonstrates honesty and integrity at all times in the care and use of Resident and facility property.
• Able to understand and follow written and verbal directions.
• Follow established policies governing the use / disposal of personal protective equipment and disposal of infectious wastes.

Physical Demands :

• Must be able to move intermittently throughout the work day.
• Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
• Must possess sight / hearing senses, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
• Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times, hostile people within the facility.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability.
