What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barback position at CORAL R GABLES OPERATIONS LLC?
Responsibilities:
- Assist bartenders by restocking the bar with liquor, mixers, ice, and other necessary supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including washing glasses, utensils, and bar equipment.
- Prepare garnishes for drinks and ensure an adequate supply throughout the shift.
- Support the bartenders during peak hours by taking on additional tasks such as handling simple drink orders or running the dishwasher.
- Monitor inventory levels and inform the manager when supplies are low or need replenishment.
- Help in setting up the bar before opening and closing duties, including cleaning and organizing the bar area.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the bar area.
- Facilitate communication between the bar and kitchen staff when necessary.
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills to efficiently stock and maintain the bar area.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to support bartenders and other staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic knowledge of bar equipment, glassware, and common cocktail ingredients.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy supplies and equipment.
- No prior experience required, but a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic are essential.
