Job Summary

Collects and analyzes financial and utilization information to support the department.

Essential Functions

  • Performs statistical, cost, and financial variance analysis of data to evaluate financial performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Assists on business issues including financial and profitability analysis. Develops solutions to problems which require ingenuity, creativity, and innovation.
  • Collaborates with assigned areas of the organization and/or senior level analysts or leadership to analyze financial data.
  • Facilitate the business plan process for asset replacements, including collection of relevant data for business plan development, financial pro forma information and troubleshooting capital-related questions or issues.
  • Perform month-end & quarter-end financial analysis and reporting, including analysis of capital spending trends, investigation of variances and preparation of reports and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Supporting systemwide capital planning activities including forecasting, monitoring capital requests, and providing timely and accurate information to stakeholders.
  • Maintain data in various software platforms, including OnBase, StrataJazz, Planview, and Tableau to ensure data accuracy and consistency across platforms.
  • Assist with other special capital planning projects, and process improvements as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Accounting, finance, business administration, economics, statistics or related field
  • 1 year of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or related work

Preferred

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - State of Michigan
  • Master's Degree Business or Finance
