What are the responsibilities and job description for the Painter position at Corewell Health?
- Thorough knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and practices if the painting trade.
- Thorough knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the trade.
- Ability to estimate time and materials needed along with completion of necessary paperwork.
- Skilled in preparing of building & grounds surfaces by insuring compliance with manufacturers specifications for service preparation including use of spackling/plastering to ensure professional finish of applied paint, stain, varnish, wall covering, etc.
- Skilled in mixing paint, stain, varnish, etc., and applying said items with tools and equipment used in the trade.
- Ability to work any shifts as required to meet the needs of our customers.
- Required High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of relevant experience 5 years documented work experience as a painter/plaster in a commercial, industrial or institutional. Required
