Experience & Requirements
Medical Clerk or Administrator Assistant with two years of experience in a healthcare environment required.
High school graduate or equivalent required.
Computer skills / data entry required
Subject to initial and ongoing security clearance requirements.
A background check, security clearance and drug screening are required for this role.

Responsibilities
Facility : Donaldson Correctional
Location : Bessemer, AL
Hourly Rate : $17.20
Part Time Position - (20 hrs) = M-TH 11am to 4pm
Below is a list of your responsibilities as a Mental Heath Clerk with YesCare :
Logs requests for offsite and diagnostic studies.
Maintains chronic clinic logs and ensures appointments are scheduled according to DOC protocols
Updates medical diet lists, as needed.
Assists nursing and other staff in issuing and tracking minor medical equipment (e.g. heating pads)
Collects data from ER logs, segregation logs, etc. for monthly QI reporting
Coordinates scheduling of onsite specialty appointments (e.g. X-ray, physical therapy, medical-surgical subspecialties)
Answers telephone, takes messages and makes telephone calls, as needed.
Types correspondence, reports or memorandums, as needed.
Maintains roster or appointment book based on scheduled appointments, both offsite and onsite, as needed.
Orders, receives and maintains office supplies.
Other related duties as requested by Supervisors or Health Services Administrator.
