Qualifications
Primary duties will consist of but not limited to:
- Responsible for accurate and timely payroll preparation, transfers, quarterly reports, W-2's, maintain personnel files and payroll changes and reports.
- On-Line Payroll processing for a Multi Dealership company which includes:
- Salary, Commissions, Technician Incentives, Spiffs, Payroll deductions, Hourly Wages and Overtime, All Benefit deductions, Federal and State Taxes
- Post payroll accounting entries.
- Maintain and reconcile accounts for dealership payroll & benefits.
- Manages regular office and administrative functions of the dealership. Assures adequate staffing available during business hours.
- Managing, recruiting, training and retaining competent accounting and support staff.
- Ensures adherence to accounting policies, procedures and internal controls.
- Prepares timely monthly dealership factory financial statements and submits drafts to upper management for review and approval.
- Directs the management of daily cash activities and reporting for the Dealership.
- Manages the recording of vehicle deals and related license and title processes.
- Manages the technology and documents flows and file requirements for the office activity and the dealership departments.
- Oversees credit approval, reconciliation, collection and reporting of all dealership customer, intercompany and factory receivables.
- Maintains dealership general ledger, monthly adjustments and journals on a timely basis.
- Manages reconciliation of all dealership accounts and maintenance of software records.
- Manages or prepares monthly commissions and communicates to payroll department. Works with payroll department to assures timely payment and recording of personnel costs.
- Manages monthly closing of all transactions from all departments for the dealership.
- Oversees adjustments and maintenance of records and histories for year-end closing.
- Manages the timely payment of floor plan notes, payables and other obligations.
- Assists with requests and coordinating with outside accounting and tax services.
- Manages accurate records and encourages physical inspections of all vehicle inventories, contracts, customer accommodations, factory transactions and other inventories.
- Observes a system of approvals and check signing for transactions and adjustments in the Dealership.
- Keeps management abreast with financial reporting and timely information.
- Coordinate various dealership reporting functions to managers, lenders and third parties.
- Analyzes and communicates areas of improvement, processes, operational problems and staffing needs to the Director of Accounting.
- Encourages high quality financial documentation records and integrity.
- Communicates and ensures adherence to Company policies and laws.
- Instills a system of reconciliation accuracy, follow up and timely action.
- Works closely with other members of Cornerstone accounting team to help coordinate roles and resources to efficiently connect with all locations and entities in the Cornerstone organization.
- Encourages and expands use of excel and other technologies in daily processes.
- Manages sales tax and other dealership compliance reporting and file requirements.
- Maintains current knowledge of government, factory, tax and license reporting requirements.
- Ensure successful completion of tax and government agency filings.
- Manage dealership floorplan inspections by lenders.
Education and/or Experience:

Degree in Accounting or related field preferred.

Minimum 5 years of related experience in accounting and payroll, including a minimum of 2 years in a management role.

Strong working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and Accounting Applications.
Qualifications and Requirements:

Current, valid Drivers License with driving record that meets insurance company standards

Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
