What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server position at Cornerstone: Bistro & Artisanal Market?
Since the beginning of 2020 Pandemic in March, we have been operating and open. We received PPP funding in the first round in April and have taken care of our employees who are family to us. When outdoor dining reopened the first weekend of June, we decided at that point for the safety of our staff, guests and community that we would remain outdoors only for the foreseeable or until we feel it is safe for everyone. In true Cornerstone fashion, we continue to create a great guest experience, focusing on hospitality at the forefront. We have an incredible community who has helped us during these times; as well as, us helping them with beautiful take-out, new market & wine shop options and a safe dining experience for brunch, lunch and dinner.
In September 2020, we created and opened our Garden Patio that is a landscaped outdoor 20'x40' tent and another 30x20 dining and lounge experience like few others. As we say, we have turned woodchips into lemonade and tried as much to look at this time with a glass half full - smiles and great attitudes surrounded by beautiful wine, food, cocktails and our community. We have created an outdoor movie & viewing theater with live music on Wednesday from 7:30-9:30, classic and kids movies - Wed & Thurs, and throwback, vintage rock concerts on Friday evenings from 5-10pm. It is a bit Foreign Cinema-esque from San Francisco - an absolutely fantastic, special place for those who have not been!
We are looking to hire a server, back server and host/hostess immediately. In the late spring & early summer, we will be looking to add an additional bartender & barback. We are very busy, with waitlists for most Friday and Saturday evenings. As we begin to move down the path of vaccines, safe dining and warmer temperatures we will become even more busier. Cornerstone is looking for enthusiastic people to join our team! We are passionate about what we do and are looking for like-minded team players who are dedicated to their craft. Here at Cornerstone, we strive everyday to provide an amazing guest experience through beautiful food and hospitality.
We opened Cornerstone's doors in October 2015 as a 14+ seat BYOB restaurant and artisanal market with a focus on oysters, cheese, charcuterie, fresh pastas. We expanded 2 years later and added 30+ seats and a full bar. We now have 70+ seats with our outdoor dining and lounge. We are looking to hire a server, back server and host/hostess immediately.
What we are looking for:
-Prior experience in upscale bar with a craft-cocktail focus.
-Proficiency and knowledge of classic cocktails.
-Fundamental knowledge of wine grapes, styles and wine regions.
-Applicant must have AT LEAST 2 years of fine dining experience
-GOOD ATTITUDE, A willingness to learn along with excitement and respect for the industry plus going the extra mile
-Your own reliable transportation - we are looking for dependability
