Job Summary:
Small, private preschool in Plainfield is seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Pre-Kindergarten Teacher to join our team. This is a full time position (8:30-5:30) The ideal candidate will have experience in early childhood education and a strong commitment to nurturing young minds.
Duties:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote the intellectual and social development of preschool-aged children
- Create a safe and nurturing learning environment that encourages exploration and discovery
- Utilize various teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure individualized learning goals are met
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers to support each child's educational journey
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and behavior
-working and collaborating with your co-teacher to create a fun safe environment.
Qualifications:
Lead Teacher:
-DCFS Lead Qualified: Minumum of 60 hours of college credit with at least 6 of those hours Early Childhood Courses.
-Director qualified is a bonus
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children preferred.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
-Applicants must be able to work well with others, be flexible and communicative.
-Free childcare for all staff (currently only have space available in our 4-5 year old classroom)
