JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for providing day-to-day HR support in the areas of recruitment, onboarding, employee records, compliance, and employee relations. The HR Coordinator ensures that HR operations run smoothly and in alignment with Cornerstone Healing Centers’ mission and vision. This role collaborates across departments to ensure exceptional employee experience and supports compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Assists with candidate communications and interview scheduling in collaboration with hiring managers.
2. Facilitates the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing documentation, conducting orientation ensuring timely and thorough completion of onboarding paperwork and required trainings.
3. Coordinate and support the full-cycle recruitment process, including job posting
4. Maintain and update employee records in compliance with federal, state, and Joint Commission accreditation standards.
5. Track and report on HR compliance metrics.
6. Provide day-to-day administrative support.
7. Assist in employee relation matters by facilitating communication and escalating issues when appropriate.
8. Support the planning and implementation of employee engagement and recognition programs.
9. Collaborate with Leaders to ensure a supportive and professional workplace environment.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Must hold Valid and active/unrestricted Arizona Driver's License
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- 1-2 years of HR or administrative experience, preferably in healthcare or behavioral health.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of employment laws, HIPAA, and HR best practices.
- Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical practice
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND ATTITUDES REQUIRED
1. Basic understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, ADA)
2. Familiarity with onboarding procedures, employee files, and training compliance tracking
3. Knowledge of confidentiality standards and sensitive record-keeping
4. Awareness of behavioral health terminology, trauma informed practices, or recovery principles
5. Proficiency in using HRIS systems, Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, Google Meet) and digital communication tools.
6. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
7. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines
8. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation
9. Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with diverse staff populations
10. Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization
11. Ability to follow procedures and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
