RESPONSIBILITIES: Are you a proven child welfare leader? Are you focused on problem solving and making a difference? Is your passion to make your community a better place? Cornerstones of Care is looking for a creative, solution focused, and strengths based person to direct our foster care department operations in Western Missouri. You would be overseeing two units, each of which is comprised of: 80 foster children, six dedicated case managers, a purposeful supervisor, and a supportive case management assistant who, collectively, all strive to be change agents for children and families in Jackson and Cass counties. The foster care unit is supported in their work by a Family Finding Advocate, Nurse Case Manager, Resource Development Specialists, and a Response Team Coordinator. Cornerstones of Care is an accredited organization who offers a trauma informed care environment in order to optimally provide our youth and families a meaningful transformation journey. The Director will lead their teams to achieve the highest of program quality & financial health, while ensuring all team members strive to deliver services that lead to long term positive impact on the safety and health of communities. The Director will work collaboratively with other leaders within other departments of the organization to ensure positive interface in support of the organization’s mission and priorities. The Director will be responsible for positive community collaboration to develop/maintain community partnerships on behalf of Cornerstones of Care.
QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires an Advanced/Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or other Human Service field. The qualified candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in Child Welfare services, preferably in foster care and adoption. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a management or leadership position directly supervision staff, preferably in foster care and adoptions.
