POSITION: Family Finding Manager
DEPARTMENT: Case Management Foster Care KS (Kansas City, KS)
Starting Salary: $52,000-$56,000 (Annually)
(Starting salary depends on education and experience)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Family Finding Manager works under direction of the Director of Kinship Navigation and Support but enjoys a high degree of autonomy in the supervision of Family Finding Advocates. The Family Finding Manager ensures service compliance with contract/licensing/funding body/accreditation requirements. The Family Finding Team is responsible for conducting creative and thorough searches and authentically engaging relatives to identify relative and kin supports and placement for both children entering foster care as well as children and youth currently being served in the KS FCCM program. The Family Finding team supports the case management team and other members of the professional team to prepare relative and kin placements to best support the children or youth and meet the standards of The Fostering Connections to Success and Increasing Adoption Act (2008), create placement stability, expedite permanency and help children feel connected to and supported by their network. This role requires some evening hours and accessibility after “normal business hours” to provide guidance and assistance.
QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires a bachelor’s degree in social work or other human service field and 2-5 years of work experience in child welfare case management services. Master’s dregree in social work or another human services field is preferred. Licensed by the Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board to practise in Kansas (LBSW, LMSW, Professional Counselor, LMFT and/or Alcohol and Drug Counselor) is a plus. Must be at least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical and drug screening. This position also requires a valid driver’s license and proof of current vehicle insurance.
