Seeking a skilled System Administrator and Software Developer to support critical software projects for Transmission Services. This role involves system administration, application development, and providing technical expertise to ensure high availability and efficiency in our Energy Management Systems (EMS).
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and develop EMS software for Dittmer and Munro Control Centers.
- Design, test, and deploy software solutions to meet business needs, ensuring compliance with project documentation and standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to implement optimal development methodologies.
- Support biweekly EMS database and display updates, coordinating with Dispatchers.
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve technical issues while minimizing downtime.
- Develop operational procedures, training materials, and documentation for users and teams.
- Provide after-hours technical support as needed for critical system issues.
Qualifications
Education:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related technical field preferred.
Experience:
- 3 years of direct IT experience with system administration (with applicable degree).
- 5 years of IT experience without a degree or degree in unrelated fields.
Technical Skills:
- Expertise in Windows Server operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Visual Studio and C for application development.
- Knowledge of data systems, high availability operations, configuration management, and project management principles.

Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
