What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aerothermal Analyst Intern position at Corvid Technologies?
Corvid Technologies is seeking qualified candidates for aerothermal modeling internships working with our Hypersonic Programs Group (HPG) in our Huntsville, Alabama office. The HPG supports a variety of government (Missile Defense Agency, Army, and Navy Missile Defense) programs through design, modeling and simulation, testing, and system analysis related to both defensive and offensive hypersonic missile systems. Corvid's HPG analysis capabilities include both industry standard solvers as well as Corvid's in-house tools (Velodyne and Raven). These tools are used to solve the hypersonic aerothermal environment over various vehicles, and then predict the ablation and heat transfer into the vehicle's internal substructure.
Example Responsibilities
A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
Corvid Technologies is an engineering firm specializing in high-fidelity, computational modeling and simulation. With a team of over 300 engineers and scientists, three-fourths of whom hold advanced degrees, Corvid is at the forefront of technological innovation. We offer a fast-paced and flexible work environment that encourages creativity and collaboration. Corvid Technologies provides diverse research opportunities and a creative work environment within a small team while offering access to cutting edge computational technologies and resources.
