Transition Services-Work with Teens and Young Adults (PT with prospect of FT)

Corvilla is hiring a Transition Specialist to work with students with disabilities who attend high school in St. Joseph County. You will be changing lives by assisting students to learn about job expectations, career exploration and secondary education options that will lead to meaningful employment for students after high school.

The five areas of concentration are:
1. Job Exploration Counseling
2. Postsecondary Education
3. Self-Advocacy Training
4. Workplace Readiness Training
5. Work Based Learning

The ideal candidate should be able to keep up with timely documentation, timely communication, have initiative to plan specific “outings” for students under the five categories, and enjoy being around students / individuals with disabilities.

ABA/RBT experience as well as DSP, ES a plus.

This is a 20-25hrs, part-time position with the prospect of moving to full-time based on caseload growth. Flexible hours, M-F (weekends rare).
