What are we looking for
At Cosentino (www.cosentino.com) we are looking for a Polisher located in Atlanta, GA, who will have the opportunity to work in a multinational environment, in full expansion, surrounded by numerous challenging projects that you can be part of.
What you will do
Job Expectations:
- Polish material/parts to correct defects or to prepare surfaces for further finishing, using hand and power tools
- Apply pressure to polish, glaze, and buff while making sure dimensions stay the same
- Verify quality of finished workpieces by inspecting, comparing to templates, measuring dimensions, and marking any defects for possible rework
- Ensure proper use of equipment
- Work in a collaborative environment by helping coworkers in other stations if needed
- Maintain a clean station
- Responsible for wearing all personal protective equipment (safety glasses, earplugs, waterproof gear, face mask, etc.)
- Ensure safety procedures are followed
- Other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed
EXPERIENCE
Desired:
- Experience in fabricating Marble, Granite and Quartz
- Experience in Construction, Industrial and Manufacturing fields
- Experience in material polishing
- Experience operating a forklift
EDUCATION
Required:
- High School Diploma/GED
KNOWLEDGE
Required:
- Basic knowledge in math (adding, subtracting, measurements, etc)
- Basic knowledge in maintenance
SKILLS
Required:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs.
