Job Summary: Cosmic Blast Head Coach

The General Manager for Cosmic Blast will be launching a new division for Cosmic Rentals (the parent company for Cosmic Event Rentals and Cosmic Bounce House). The main objectives will be:

• Kickstarter Program: promote Cosmic GellyBall in the community, securing pre-sale funds in order to prove interest. Primarily though contacting church groups, youth-focused organizations, existing customers, etc.
• Facilitate Blast Games: have fun leading kids (or adults) in a variety of blaster games, from 5 vs. 5 or 3 vs. 3, to capture the flag, to sharks and minnows, etc.
• Train Team Members: help select and train qualified individuals to deliver and maintain equipment, host events, etc.
• Business Management: track money, identify threats/opportunities, make business decisions, and give reports on performance.

(We plan to expand with many new and exciting opportunities in the entertainment industry. This position is one that will spearhead our expansion into a new field. Job Details:

We are seeking a reliable and self-starting General Manager for Cosmic GellyBall (a new division of Cosmic Rentals). Individuals who are passionate about family friendly entertainment and familiar with FECs (family entertainment centers), paintball or laser tag arenas, or other similar venues will be uniquely suited for this position. Initially you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting, setting up, and packing up equipment to various locations, as well as training customers and overseeing the use of company equipment. After growing the division, you will be supported in developing a team to manage a facility and perform delivery and training while you manage operations.

Ideal applicants will have experienced entrepreneurship, be familiar with servant leadership, know how to lead a team through frustrating and stressful times, be autodidactic, comfortable with risk, have integrity, be self-driven, and loyal. This position requires excellent communication and team working skills, sales and customer service experience, reliable transportation, and a valid standard driver's license.

Experience:

Some relevant experience is required. This may take the form of working with kids/youth as a coach, prior entrepreneurial ventures, prior FEC experience, business or team development experience, or other directly relevant experience that you might explain in a cover letter. You will also be evaluated on ability to navigate a truck and trailer, and to provide a clean driving record.

A vehicle stipend is also available for applicants who own a vehicle capable of towing trailers weighing 5,000lbs or more.

Specific Duties:

Cosmic operates under a stewardship model; focused on outputs above inputs. The output for this position is a profitable entertainment venue in our community, providing wholesome recreational activities for kids, youth, and adults.

Some of the inputs that will be necessary to produce such a result include (but are not limited to):

• Read financial statements, understand terminology, recommend action
• Develop business plan, propose initiatives and projects
• Help recruit and train a team, abide by HR policies
• Know and enforce company standards and policies
• Communicate with customers to resolve issues
• Problem solve and troubleshoot to aid customer satisfaction
• Interact with children who are excited about a party
• Lift (individually or with a team) items weighing above 50lbs, including loading and unloading trailers.
• Collect cash payments, verify electronic payments
• Assemble/disassemble equipment following manufacturer specifications
• Identify safety issues and make decisions to ensure Member and customer safety
• Roll/push heavy items and equipment
• Load/unload equipment
• Set up/take down equipment
• Clean venues, including sweeping, mopping, etc.
• Clean equipment as needed
• Inspect equipment for damages
• Record delivery/pickup data, images
• Oversee waiver signing
• Explain legalese in waivers
• Follow given packing lists and ensure accuracy
• Assemble, organize, clean, rearrange, and load light and heavy items inside storage units, trailers, etc.
