POSITION
The CS Plus full-time (35hrs/wk) Small Account Marketing Representative will collaborate with the Manager, Broker Services to strategize and execute targeted marketing campaigns aimed at nonprofits. This role involves the implementation and evaluation of insurance programs, as well as the management of existing accounts. Working closely with CS Plus staff, New York Council of Nonprofits (NYCON) representatives, and insurance carriers, the position will focus on marketing commercial insurance solutions to nonprofit groups. Key responsibilities include database management, sales presentations, and fostering relationships with decision-makers within the nonprofit sector.
This is a nonexempt position, subject to CS Plus personnel policies. The role offers a 24-month training and development program designed to cultivate marketing professionals in the nonprofit insurance sector. The training program emphasizes driving new business through agency-referred accounts, including reviewing, quoting, processing, selling, and servicing small account business.
DUTIES
- Establish expertise in small account marketing through comprehensive product knowledge and exceptional customer service.
- Identify and qualify marketing opportunities, focusing on generating new business within the nonprofit sector.
- Collaborate on the corporate strategic marketing plan, utilizing sales reports and strategies developed by CS Plus and NYCON.
- Execute active marketing efforts, including outbound communications, sales presentations, and engagement in marketing initiatives such as email blasts and webinars.
- Support clients in understanding their insurance options, renewal processes, and available coverages.
- Complete applications and qualify risks in an effort to quote new business. Quote risks through phone/web systems and by submitting to underwriters when necessary. A benchmark of at least 2 submissions a day/10 a week.
- Maintain accurate client databases and contact management systems to track sales efforts and client interactions.
- Participate in meetings, events, and networking activities to enhance brand visibility and expand market reach.
- Perform support functions such as bind orders, payments, endorsements, remarketing and claims handling as necessary according to agency structure.
TRAVEL
This is an in-office position; however, occasional local travel may be required for client meetings and networking events. Participants may also attend annual training conferences in Pennsylvania.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Associates Degree in a related field OR equivalent business experience (preferred but not required)
- Commitment to obtaining a P&C license within 60 days of hire
- Strong communication, organizational, and networking skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Openness to coaching and continuous improvement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
