Why Consider This Role:
The Women's Wellness Therapist role is ideal for an experienced clinician skilled in supporting clients with mental health, physical health, and life transitions, including (but not limited to) stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, intimacy issues, menopause, pregnancy, postpartum care, fertility issues, parenting, career changes, aging, and grief/loss.
The therapist will be expected to perform individual, couple, or family therapy, including conducting diagnostic assessments to formulate DSM 5 diagnoses and complete treatment plans to support therapeutic interventions. The candidate must have experience working with individuals in 1:1 traditional sessions, and have utilized clinical interventions and diagnostic skills in their current or previous work experience. Preference given to those with PMH-C certification.
What You’ll Do:
- Represent Counseling Works with warmth and professionalism
- Ongoing support of a positive client experience at Counseling Works
- Provide individual and/or couples psychotherapy
- Complete electronic notes, current treatment plans and obtain client payments in a timely fashion
- Formulate DSM 5 diagnoses
- Participate in networking opportunities with our large referral base
- Schedule & re-schedule clients for psychotherapy sessions with you
- With support, manage client’s emergencies if/as they arise
- Consult with other providers, psychiatrists and family members when appropriate
- Continue to learn and grow to remain competent in serving the practice’s demographic and your caseload’s unique challenges
- General tidiness of the office you are using and the common areas

Education & Experience Requirements:
- Current State of Illinois license as a PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMFT, LCPC, LPC, LSW, or AMFT (PMH-C preferred)
- Willing to work weekends and evenings
- Minimum 1 year experience counseling our practice’s demographic
- Prior private practice experience is a plus but not required
- Proficient computer skills–we use Google Docs & TherapyNotes
- Organized, professional, conscientious, timely and responsible.
Compensation: Salary range of $40,000-$80,000 dependent upon experience
License / Certifications: LPC, LCPC, AMFT, LMFT, LSW, LCSW, PhD, PsyD, MA or MEd (Required); PMH-C (Preferred)

Salary : $40,000 - $80,000
